Home Run Soul Club is absolutely thrilled to welcome one of the UK's most exciting soul collectives to Manchester this October.
Cutting-edge soul vibes. No mess. No fuss. Heart of Soul in Lewisham, South London, was founded by Shaafi Parvez. This forward-thinking soul collective spins the very best from a versatile set of genres. Pigeonholing is out of the equation for these boys, with selections ranging from the 1960s to contemporary releases fresh off the press.
Mid-tempo, modern, newies, oldies, jazz funk and house-infused bangers - name it, they've got it. Since its founding two years ago, the club has cemented a roster of residents: Alex Johnson, Shaafi Parvez, Nathan Pickard, Calum O'Keefe and Charles Simpson. All bringing a unique flavour, personality and attitude to The Dojo.
Their influences form a real melting pot: Stafford Top of The World, Blackpool Mecca, Clifton Hall, 100 Club and Cleethorpes Winter Gardens - to name a few. Guests at the club reflect this diverse heritage, with the likes of Dave Thorley, Adam Buchanan, Joel Maslin and Jason Haynes all having graced the Dojo stage.
To give you a taste of what to expect, the Heart of Soul crew have selected one each of their favourite club sounds. Get ready for them to bring their electric vibe of exceptional soul music to the Home Run Soul Weekender... Not to be missed!
